MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
- Compatibility: Applicants must currently have a compatible military position in one of the following DMOS.
MOS: WO- 420A
ENL 36A/42A
Military Grade Limitations:
- Minimum: E-1/PV1 to E-9/SGM
- Maximum: WO-1/CW1 to WO-5/CW
The basic qualification requirements are indicated below. These requirements must be met in addition to all military requirements and selective placement factors indicated in order to be considered qualified for this position.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: All series personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE(GS-11): Candidate must have at least 24 months of accounting experiences and competencies that provided knowledge of principles and procedures. Ability to comprehend, apply, and/or perform the following financial program discipline procedures: Accounting Operations; Compliance; Control of Funds; Internal Controls; and, Principles of Accounting.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Degree: Accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included - or - was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to six hours of credit in business law. (with support transcript documentation submitted before closing of position)
Security Clearance: This position requires a Secret Security Clearance, within one year of appointment.
Licenses: Possess a valid state driver's license to operate government motor vehicles, for the state in which they live or are principally employed, in accordance with Army and Air Force Vehicle Operations Directives.
As a basis of continued employment to the GS-0510 position, the dual status technician employee must maintain all compatible service specific military skill requirements in training and education. The employee must complete all required Financial Management Certification continuing education and training hours.
As a basis of continued employment to the GS-0510 position, the dual status technician employee must have and maintain a current Network License according to Army Directives, Licensing Network Users and Certifying Network Professionals.
**QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE**
Length of time is not itself qualifying. The applicant's experience will be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position.
