In addition to our main facility in Tomah, we offer services in four community-based outpatient clinics. These clinics are located in LaCrosse, Clark County, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids. VAMC Tomah is one of seven facilities that comprise Veterans Integrated Services Network 12 (VISN12) which is administratively headquartered at Hines, IL, and includes facilities in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Outpatient Psychiatrist -
The Tomah VA Medical Center is recruiting for a board-certified or board-eligible staff psychiatrist to provide outpatient care. The candidate will be highly skilled in the management of patients' mental health needs, and the evaluation and treatment of a diverse range of mental health disorders. Duties include, but are not limited to, treatment and professional direction of outpatient care. Must be clinically competent to perform examinations, diagnosis, therapeutic treatment, be effective in handling emergencies, patient management and document in patient records. Must be effective in teaching (patient education and co-workers). Must be effective in planning, using administrative judgment and should have sound decision making skills. Must be emotionally stable, dependable and adhere to ethical standards.
Work Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Physical Requirements: Walking, bending, stooping, and some lifting in the direct care of patients. There may also be extended periods of sitting.
