The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is a consolidated health care system that includes VA Medical Centers in Montgomery and Tuskegee Alabama. The primary duty station for these positions are 1 Montgomery and 1 Tuskegee Campus. The incumbent will be required to work on site at the other locations as required.

Serves as Staff Physician with Geriatric Primary Services to provide primary care to elderly veterans in Geriatric (Primary Care) with limited coverage of the New Horizon Community Living Center. Physicians in Geriatrics are independent care providers who are highly skilled in the management of a patient's primary care needs or subspecialty evaluation and treatment. The incumbent will remain up to date with the latest medical treatments and procedures. CAVHCS places great emphasis on the delivery and continuity of G, EC&R
· Provide clinical coverage in outpatient GPC clinics.
· Serves as a key clinical resource for matters involving Geriatric services.
· Serves as Staff Physician with Spinal Cord Injury Services
· Provides comprehensive care for our veteran population such as diagnosis, care, and treatment of assigned patients.
· Provides effective medical treatment, consultation, and diagnosis upon request from other Services/Departments
· Orders lab tests, x-rays, EKG's and other diagnostic procedures
· Initiates or expedites requests for consults, special tests, or studies.
