There are multiple vacancies for our aquatics facilities located on Schofield Barracks, Helemano Military Reserve, Aliamanu Military Reserve, and at The Tripler Army Medical Center. Work schedule's vary between 05:30am to 8:00pm to include weekends.
Must be able to work all shifts to include nights, weekends, holidays and all shifts.
Positions are NOT entitled to 11.32% COLA (island of Oahu).

Performs lifeguarding duties and limited management functions. Directs the operation of the pool and the work of assigned lifeguards. Ensures the safe operation of the pool, it's filtration system, water balance, pool chemistry and performs water test. Responsible for lifeguarding guest in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility. Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required. Ensures that safety rules are followed. Responsible for teaching aquatic swimming and water survival training according to TC 21-21. Attend aquatics and/or safety training as directed. Keeps accurate records and adequate supplies.
Provide basic lifeguarding services, CPR/AED, First Aid and Customer service.
Conditions of Employment

In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period. Incumbent is required to follow environmental safeguards and wear personal protective equipment. May be assigned to irregular duties or when needed for special recreational events and related requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess and maintain the following certificates:
- American Red Cross "Lifeguard" certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification)
- American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer" (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates (CPR) Certification)
Must possess the following certifications when facilities use Automated External Defibrillator "AED's" and Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles".
- American Red Cross "Automated External Defibrillator" (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates AED certification)
- American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration" certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates Oxygen Administration certification)
Highly Preferred Qualifications:

The Family and MWR Aquatics program operates four pools at:
Schofield Barracks
Tripler Army Medical Center
Helemano Military Reservation (HMR)
Aliamanu Military Reservation (AMR)
Richardson Pool at Schofield Barracks and the pool at Tripler Army Medical Center are open year-round, offering Active-Duty PT hours, lap swim and open swim sessions scheduled year-round.
The pools in the AMR and HMR housing areas are seasonal pools, open from Memorial Day through Columbus Day each year. All the pools offer an extensive learn to swim program and a number of other water-based instructional classes and programs.
Must work well with Military Personnel, dependents, and small children.
