The WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, Columbia, SC is seeking a full-time physician for our Emergency Department. In addition to the excellent benefits of federal government employment, we offer flexible work schedules of 40 hours per week, or 80 hours per two-week pay period. Physicians perform clinical duties in the 10 bed ED which operates 24/7 for the 17,500 patients seen annually. There is an associated urgent care staffed by one (1) physician and four (4) Nurse Practitioners that sees approximately 13,500 additional patients. The incumbent must maintain proficiency in critical care skills, including central line placement and intubations. Most cases are medical and very little trauma.
Work Schedule: Rotational 12 hour shifts to include weekends and holidays.
