There are two openings in Primary Care for a Nurse Practitioner located in the following the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Pittsfield and Northampton, MA. The Nurse Practitioner provides care to Veterans living throughout in Western Massachusetts. He/she provides medical care services and evaluation of Veterans with compassion and will provide education and counseling of Veterans and families regarding preventive care, medical conditions, treatment and drugs. Responsibilities include:
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Education/Experience Requirements: 2-3 years of Nurse Practitioner experience that demonstrates leadership and performance in the application of the nursing process to patient care, organizational processes and/or systems and improving patient care outcomes including NP experience in adult health.
Physical Requirements: Nurse Practitioner: Moderate Lifting, 15-44 lbs.; Light lifting, under 15 lbs.; Light carrying, under 15 lbs./ Straight pulling (5 hrs.); Reaching above shoulder; Use of fingers; Both hands required; Walking (1 hrs.); Standing (2 hrs.); Near vision correctable at 13: to 16: to Jaeger 1 to 4; Far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other; Ability to distinguish basic colors; Ability to distinguish shades of colors.
