As a/an Chief Insurance and Underwriting Branch, you will:
- Plan and direct all technical underwriting operations of the Underwriting and Processing Branch. This includes the underwriting and related technical review of residential mortgage loans for the purchase, refinance, or substantial rehabilitation for properties.
- Monitor status of goal accomplishment. Advise the Director of workload and potential problems in attainment of goals and objectives.
- Interpret HUD technical instructions and instructs personnel in the interpretation of policy procedures and requirements to ensure Departmental regulations are initiated and complied with. Develop and recommend improved processing procedures.
- Assure that the Branch is operating in accordance with current Departmental policies, standards, and procedures and that objectives, deadlines and service requirements established by the Director are achieved. Maintain quality control over all assigned functions and is responsible to the Director for the accuracy and timeliness of all decisions.
The official duty station for this position will be in Atlanta, Georgia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.
