This position is in the Office of Audits, Inspections, and Evaluations (AIE). The AIE manages, supervises, coordinates, and conducts audits, inspections, and evaluations relating to Department of the Interior (DOI) programs and operations, including, but not limited to, waste, abuse, and mismanagement in such programs and operations of the DOI employees, contractors, grantees, lessees, or any other persons or entities doing business with the DOI. As an Auditor, you will lead, plan, and perform complex audits, inspections, and evaluations of DOI programs and operations.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing all of the following:

Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education (54 semester hours, 81 quarter hours, or the equivalent) leading to such a degree in a related field of study, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. Have a combination of appropriate specialized experience (as described below) and graduate education (as described above) that is beyond the second year of progressive graduate study to meet the qualification requirements.
