Greets guests as they enter the restaurant, cafe, dining room, etc. and check for authorized identification. Escorts guests to table and provides menus. May make suggestions on menu items, answer questions and advises wait-help of any special request. Answers phone for guest request for take out orders or other information. Package the take out orders and accept payment for the order. Performs cashier duties by receiving monies due, issuing change and receipts, and completing related cash control forms. Incumbent may use personal computers or terminals to perform routine standardized tasks.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide at a level to complete required tasks. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
