You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience developing and maintaining relationships with Tribal governments, state, regional or federal entities; delivering oral and written presentations to broad audiences; and communicating policy to diverse audiences.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
There is no education requirement for this position; therefore, transcripts are not required.
This vacancy is being used to fill positions in the one-year remote work pilot program. Employees selected for remote work will not be required to report to an official Commission duty station on any frequent, regular or recurring basis. Official duty stations will be verified/approved upon selection and will be set where the employee regularly performs duties. Locality pay and cost of living increases for remote workers will be set within the General Schedule Locality Pay Table of the worker's official worksite. Remote workers must attest that the remote duty station meets safety, technological, information security requirements to perform duties of the position safely and maintain security of all sensitive documents and information created, maintained or administered while performing Commission work. A remote worker agreement will be required.
Relocation expenses will not be paid. Multiple selections could be made from this vacancy and additional selections could be deemed not-eligible for remote work. In these cases, the duty location of the position is Washington, DC.
