The incumbent will provide research support to build a foundational capacity for consistent and reusable life cycle assessment (LCA) models. The goal of this research is to demonstrate the value of accurate and repeatable LCA methods for including changes in biogenic C in LCA, which will improve decision making around sustainable agricultural practices and policies.

This position requires a recent Ph.D in environmental science, environmental or agricultural engineering, ecosystems or industrial ecology, natural resource science, or a related field of study that has equipped the applicant with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Experience with current methods used in life cycle assessment, familiarity with LCA software (e.g., SimaPro, openLCA) or knowledge ofagricultural biogenic C or greenhouse gas emissions modeling is highly desired.
