The Library Information Systems Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining significant library information system components for the Supreme Court of the United States. Incumbent serves as the technology project manager and expert technology analyst; performs, coordinates, or oversees library information service projects including systems development, management and administration; systems engineering and integration; server administration; systems operation and maintenance; configuration management; hardware/software support and upgrades; and staff support and training. Incumbent performs assigned tasks, reports on task accomplishment, coordinates with other technical staff, and coordinates with and provides feedback to users on the status and progress of technical tasks and projects. In addition, incumbent is responsible for the continuity of library information service operations and ensures that the Library's information and technical needs are fully supported at all times. Supervises a Library Technology Specialist and works closely with staff in the Court's Office of Information Technology and staff throughout the Library.
Bachelor's degree required; major in information systems or computer sciences or similar technical discipline preferred. Master's degree in library science (ALA approved) preferred.
