The incumbent serves as a non-supervisory, senior level technical advisor to the Director, Solution Engineering in Information Technology of the Internal Revenue Service. As Senior Advisor, the incumbent provides top level technical analysis, guidance, and expertise to ensure Enterprise Services accomplishes its objective to be a world class service provider of IT architecture, engineering, and infrastructure. The Senior Advisor also represents the Director, Solution Engineering, where appropriate, to ensure existing and future architecture and engineering activities are performed in accordance with the organization's vision for standardization and long-term benefits.
