As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-13, you will:
• Liaise and communicate between the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Defense (DoD), FBI, and the Department of Education (DoED) to coordinate their activities by serving as an official
go-between for cybersecurity incidents, events, and investigations conducted by the involved organizations.
• Prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex and controversial issues.
• Work directly with personnel from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), and other law enforcement, other agencies, and other areas of government, to review and support investigation of any potential criminal or unauthorized activities that involves the Department and its customers.
• Work closely with the Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) Project Manager (PM) to provide input and guidance on implementation of ZTA principles, ensure Joint Task Force (JTF) recommendations are passed to the PM and incorporated into the DoED's defense in-depth security systems.
• Influence cybersecurity policy, informs key decision makers, and evolves the DoED's incident response capabilities.

Specialized Experience for the GS-13
One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-12 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:
1. Experience working with law enforcement or reporting authority in a cyber security capacity.
2. Experience investigating, identifying, and communicating cyber indicators of compromise to and from a security operations team.
3. Experience leading an independent role, prioritizing tasks and requirements, and providing detailed cyber products.
