The Merit Systems Protection Board is responsible for overseeing federal merit systems and enforcing compliance with merit systems principles, statutes, and regulations. One of the Board's primary functions is to adjudicate appeals of certain personnel actions and decisions of federal agencies. The Board's OAC is responsible for researching and analyzing the issues raised in petitions for review and drafting recommended decisions in those cases for approval by the Board members.

Experience with employment law pertaining to federal employees applied by the Merit Systems Protection Board of which you have written proposal or decision notices, legal briefs, opinions, or memoranda, or argued cases, or adjudicated cases in specific areas such as Disciplinary actions, Performance based actions, Suitability actions, Veterans' preference matters, Prohibited discrimination against individuals in the uniformed service, Reprisal against whistleblowers, and Federal employee retirement matters. A selection panel may be used and oral interviews may be conducted with all, with some, or with none of the applicants, solely at the option of the selecting official.
