Develops counterterrorism trends and assessments.
Performs gap analysis, research and analysis on the political and military environment to identify insurgency related activities, and conventional warfare motivations and techniques.
Develops trends and analysis on operational activities in support of the Lead Inspector General mission, related to overseas contingency operations in areas such as U.S. Central Command, U.S. Africa Command, and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
Responsible for research and prepares original written content, and production of quarterly reports.
Reviews and interprets national security directives and counterterrorism policy documents from the Executive Branch, Department of Defense, Department of State, and Department of Justice as they relate to ongoing Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO).
Monitors and informs senior management of any changes in strategy, operations, funding, programming that may impact ongoing Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO).
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of Department of State (DOS), military, civilian, and international organizations present in Combatant Command Areas of Responsibility, to include their leaders, philosophies, and goals.
