As a Engineering Technician, you will serve as technical expert and consultant for matters concerning GSA's Vertical Transportation Program.
Location of position: Office of Facilities Management (OFM), Public Buildings Service in Lakewood, CO.
OFM provides program management and guidance to our property managers to provide a safe, effective, healthy and efficient work environment for our customers.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $104,038 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify at the GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is work that has provided expert knowledge of vertical transportation systems and industry practices to include elevator safety and acceptance inspections, installation, maintenance, elevator code administration, project management and cost estimating. Qualifying experience must reflect the ability to effectively manage a regional vertical transportation maintenance and inspection program.
In addition to the qualification requirements listed above, you must possess or be able to obtain within six months of employment a current, valid Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) Certification from an entity accredited by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
