The Senior Research Scientist (Quantum Sciences) position is assigned to the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory, Computational & Information Sciences Directorate (CISD) within the U.S. Army Futures Command. The Senior Research Scientist (Quantum Sciences) will be instrumental in research efforts contributing to the fundamental science and broad theoretical and experimental programs of basic and applied research as they apply to Army operational and tactical systems. The Senior Research Scientist is responsible for conducting theoretical and experimental studies for the broad application of Quantum Science approaches and techniques to determine when Quantum phenomena provide superior efficacy over classical/deterministic approaches; develops new defense applications through leveraging distributed entanglement and Quantum enhanced sensor modalities; and drives the development of expeditionary widely-distributed Quantum systems by advancing nanophotonics and developing robust efficient light-matter interfaces. The incumbent will serve as an Army/DoD-wide expert in Quantum Sciences and related fields of research
and development.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.

You must be able to obtain/maintain the appropriate clearance level and access for this position.
This position requires a minimum of Graduate Degree, preferably Ph.D.
