The supervisory examiner is responsible for coordinating the total program objectives and requirements with regional offices and serves as the agency's primary contact person with state supervisory authorities, trade associations, and others concerned. Assures that the recommendations made to credit union management by assigned examiner staff are in the best interest of the efficient management of the resources of the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).

As the Supervisory Credit Union Examiner for SE Group F, located in Denver, CO, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
-Supervising the activities of a group of geographically dispersed credit union examiners.
-Interpreting and applying credit union laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific issues.
-Reviewing examination reports prepared by assigned staff for technical problem areas.
-Identifying employee training needs and development and assuring that resources are made available for development and training needs.
-Conducting program evaluations to ensure consistent application of policy guidance, practices, procedures, and examination priorities.
You cannot qualify for this position based on education. You must have the specialized experience as described in the "Qualifications" section.
SALARY: Pay will be set using NCUA's Compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's National Pay Rate (NPR) which includes a locality rate of 16.32% for the Rest of the U.S. (RUS) geographical area. Actual salary will be determined upon the location of selectee and the applicable locality pay, per the NCUA's CU pay table, will be applied. The locality rates, by location, can be found on the NCUA Careers webpage under the Salary Information section.
EXCEPTION: If you are a current non-supervisory NCUA employee and are selected for a temporary promotion into a supervisory position, you may receive up to a 10% salary increase, not to exceed the National Pay Rate (NPR) of the pay grade. Management will consider your current salary in relation to the duties and responsibilities of the new position.
