As a Research Wildlife Biologist within the Alaska Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:
Physical Demands: The work requires some physical exertion such as walking over wet, rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; and bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. The work requires moderate physical ability and average agility and dexterity.

1. Ability to design and conduct innovative field research over large spatial scales on the population dynamics and/or ecology of wildlife and to publish findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Please list relevant publications.
2. Knowledge of the theories and applications of current research approaches in wildlife, such as telemetry, wildlife-habitat relationships, diet analysis, geographic information systems, remote sensing, population estimation, demographic analyses, and mechanistic modeling.
3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct field and/or laboratory work related to wildlife in remote settings, across different land jurisdictions, and through multiple approaches, such as capture, tagging or survey operations, remote data collection, habitat sampling, biosampling, and sample processing.
4. Ability to prepare research proposals, write scientific articles for peer-reviewed journals, and presents research findings at professional conferences.
5. Ability to coordinate and collaborate with a diverse group of partners, stakeholders, and other researchers. Please describe your role in this work.
