At the GS-12 grade level, you will:
Provide support to ensure the application of the Enterprise Cybersecurity Department's Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for PBGC’s Information Technology business and financial systems.
Support efforts of tracking, reporting and communication of Enterprise Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) management, trends, and analysis.
Provide support to Senior IT Cybersecurity Specialist in the preparation of evidence and responses for IT security audits and security control assessments.
Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with risk management issues, identify problems, and provide advice to assist users.
Participate in the development of mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities of processes and technologies.
At the GS-13 grade level, you will:
Perform assessments of information security policies, standards, and processes for PBGC's Information Technology business and financial systems.
Coordinate and facilitate Security & Privacy Assessment and Authorization (SPA&A) activities.
Provide support to Division Manager in the preparation of evidence and responses for IT security audits and IT security control assessments.
Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with risk management issues, identify problems, and provide advice to assist users.

GS-12: You may start at the GS-12 grade level at $87,198.00, if you meet the following minimum qualification requirements:
Specialized Experience- Specialized experience is defined as one year of experience at the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the private sector applying risk analysis techniques and methodologies.
Examples may include: conducting assessments of policies, standards and processes, ensuring systems are applying Risk Management Framework processes; supporting the development of policies and processes; assisting in Information Technology (IT) security audit and control programs; assisting in developing and conducting annual information Security and Privacy Awareness Training, Role-based Training, and specialized training within the Enterprise Cybersecurity Department (ECD); and supporting risk assessment efforts.
GS-13: You may start at the GS-13 grade level at $103,690.00, if you meet the following minimum qualification requirements:
Specialized Experience- Specialized experience is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the private sector performing risk management and analysis for information systems.
Examples may include: assess security and privacy controls; perform system reviews and provide security recommendations using the Risk Management Process, and support development of IT audit responses and collection of IT artifacts to provide evidence of audit responses; assist in developing and conducting Role-based trainings associated with Risk Management Framework Process and Cloud services; and assist in risk assessments at the program and information system-level.
WRITING SAMPLE (MANDATORY): Each applicant must submit an original sample of their written work that is at least two pages in length or 1000 words on the topic of a special project assignment you completed within the last year including any stakeholders, challenges, and the outcome. Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service).
