ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) serves as the world leader in providing timely, relevant, accurate and actionable
geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). NGA's civilian, military and contract personnel evaluate imagery, maps, charts, multiple layers of
foundation data - such as terrain, elevation and gravity - and the full spectrum of visible and invisible light in order to help users visualize
what is happening at a particular place and time. Our intelligence officers go beyond describing 'what, where and when' to revealing 'how
and why.' our work enables decision advantage for our policymakers, warfighters, intelligence professionals and first responders.
Auditors perform independent assessments of Agency policy, programs, and operations, in accordance with NGA Office of Inspector General
(OIG) guidance, Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards, and other applicable requirements. They may oversee contractors
performing audits on NGA OIG's behalf. They gather and analyze information to determine whether findings exist and develop
recommendations for improvement. They prepare working papers and reports and follow up on report recommendations to ensure
appropriate corrective actions are identified and implemented.

The NGA OIG Audit Division conducts independent, objective audits and other reviews of NGA programs and operations and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of NGA policies, programs, and operations. The OIG Audit Division is seeking
Auditors to research, plan, and conduct audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards with minimal
supervision. These individuals will have an opportunity to participate in all aspects of the audit cycle from development of an annual audit
plan through follow-up on recommendations. These individuals must have a strong ethical commitment to ensure the integrity, efficiency,
and effectiveness of NGA programs; have knowledge of the theory, concepts, practices, and techniques of government auditing; be self motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment; have strong oral and written communication skills; and be able
to work on multiple tasks with short deadlines while prioritizing as necessary to meet critical needs. This position is non-supervisory.
Job Duties:
1 Assess audit findings against applicable criteria to validate and review reports; review conclusions and recommendations before supervisory
approval.
2 Consolidate, analyze, and integrate complex financial information; use applicable statistical methods and software to document work.
3 Develop audit plans to ensure NGA program compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness; manage audit execution timelines.
4 Integrate critical analysis, operational programs and accounting systems to conduct specialized or sensitive audit assignments; apply advanced accounting and auditing principles to achieve outcomes.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.
Employees with SCI access and who are under NGA cognizance are required to submit a Security Financial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis in order to determine continued eligibility. NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process. Employees on term or temporary appointments are not eligible to apply for internal assignment opportunity notices.
This position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). 1. Demonstrated experience with auditing experience performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards, in a variety of areas such as Acquisition, Contracting, Information Technology, Financial-related, Logistics, Security, etc.
2. Demonstrated experience in examining information and applying analytical and critical thinking skills to identify problems and deficiencies, uncover root causes, develop findings, and make logical and actionable recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative data.
3. Demonstrated experience in communicating audit findings and recommendations to management verbally (interviewing, negotiating, briefing) and in writing.
4. Demonstrated experience as a Project Lead, Team Lead, or Auditor-in-Charge.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or a related field such as Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or Public Administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in Accounting or Auditing. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: At least 4 years of experience in Accounting or Auditing, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. The applicant's background must also include one of the following: 1. A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours in Accounting or Auditing courses of appropriate type and quality. This can include up to 6 hours of business law; 2. A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination; or 3. Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in Accounting or Auditing, e.g., 15 semester (22 quarter) hours, but that does not fully satisfy the 24-semester-hour requirement of paragraph A, provided that (a) the applicant has successfully worked at the full-performance level in accounting, auditing, or a related field, e.g., valuation engineering or financial institution examining; (b) a panel of at least two higher level professional accountants or auditors has determined that the applicant has demonstrated a good knowledge of accounting and of related and underlying fields that equals in breadth, depth, currency, and level of advancement that which is normally associated with successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in paragraph A; and (c) except for literal nonconformance to the requirement of 24 semester hours in Accounting or Auditing, the applicant's education, training, and experience fully meet the specified requirements.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:
1. Proficiency in Using knowledge and experience to look at a situation objectively, setting aside any biases, to form conclusions and determine the best solution.
2. Ability to move seamlessly from one project to another and respond well to shifting priorities.
3. Demonstrated understanding of Maintaining Certified Public Auditor (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certifications.
