TO QUALIFY FOR THE GS-07 GRADE LEVEL, you must satisfy one of the requirements described below:
1) EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include experience as a park guide or tour leader; archaeological or historical preservation research work; forestry and/or fire management work in a park, recreation or conservation area; management, assistant, or program specialist work involving the development and implementation of policy related to protection, conservation, or management of park areas or similar operations; planning day to day operations of a recreation area providing such facilities as camping, water sports, picnic areas, or coordinating routine activities with maintenance personnel; advising visitors concerning safety, fire prevention, and proper and authorized uses of recreational facilities; and collecting fees.

2) EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: One full academic year of graduate education (18 semester hours/27 quarter hours) related to Park Ranger duties.
