The incumbent serves as the Director of the State, International, Intergovernmental and Public Affairs Division and is responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and supervising the Commission's state and international division and programs. As Director, the incumbent is responsible for formulating and executing a full range of outreach strategies, initiatives and activities which will facilitate, enhance and maintain the Commission's intergovernmental relationship with relevant state, local and federal bodies, trade associations, and other stakeholders as well as supporting the Commission’s engagement with the public.

For the GS-14:
You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in developing outreach messaging and programs to facilitate the exchange of information with public utility representatives, consumer groups, state governments and regulatory bodies, international, Tribal governments, and other stakeholders related to the energy industry.
For the GS-15:
You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in developing outreach messaging and programs; and strategically forging effective stakeholder relationships such as amongst public utility representatives, consumer groups, state governments and regulatory bodies, international, Tribal governments, and other stakeholders related to energy, natural gas or electric markets, environmental matters or infrastructure development.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
