Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Supervises the production of daily TV, radio, Web and social media products dealing with a wide variety of Thai and US news-worthy topics pertinent to specific Thai audience interests.
-Selects and approves program concepts, news story ideas, etc., for appropriateness of content and balance, and targeted area of interest.
-Plans and assigns work to staff based on work requirements and staff expertise; assigns staff members to cover special and recent events, current issues, and other newsworthy items.
-Develops appropriate performance standards and acts as the rating official in the performance appraisal process.
-Interviews candidates for vacant positions and recommends selection to higher management.
-Keeps staff informed on political, cultural and economic developments In Thailand.
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13), which is directly related to this line of work and must be fluent with the ability to write, speak, read, and report in English and Thai languages.
