Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and individual states being in different phases of reopening, once the selectee becomes an employee, the report date to the official duty station/facility may be delayed until such time that management notifies the employee of their requirement to report. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Basic Entry Requirements for All Grade and Band Levels:
Degree: economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus.
OR
Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

Band IV (GS-13/14) In addition to meeting the Basic Entry Requirements above, applicants must have the experience listed below.
Specialized Experience: For the Band IV, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the Band III or GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: compiling and assembling economic material and applying statistical techniques and analysis to data; possessing responsibility for collecting economic data from a primary or variety of sources; manipulating or analyzing economic data; providing written analysis to communicate economic findings; managing research tasks concerning economic measurement; provide advice on economic matters to stakeholders; locating and collecting relevant data to analyze a specified problem; and communicating economic concepts at various levels.
Education cannot be substituted at this grade/band level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
