PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work requires standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds and may lift greater weights with assistance from others or materials handling equipment (MHE).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed within a warehousing area or outside in all weather. Work areas may be hot, cold, damp, drafty, dirty, dusty, noisy, poorly lit, and other adverse working conditions. Frequently exposed to cuts, scrapes, bruises, falls from ladders, falling material, or injury from equipment. Exposed to dust, dirt, grease, solvents, and high noise areas. Required to wear safety equipment appropriate for the work area. Protective equipment includes but is not limited to eye protection, respiratory protection, protective footwear, clothing (gloves, aprons, etc.), and ear protection devices. Other types of protective equipment may be required as necessary.
