GS-15: You qualify for the GS-15 level (starting salary $142,701) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level performing duties such as: identifying opportunities and developing plans to strengthen investigative programs; quantitatively and qualitatively assessing current investigative program performance; assessing trends and environmental risks in cyber-related areas; and leading cyber policy strategic planning efforts.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
