Duties include but are not limited to the following: Act independently in converting ideas and concepts into an effective combination of audio and visual impression on the screen. Develop innovative solutions to complex audio and visual communication problems, analyze situations accurately and take effective action Initiates coverage of news and feature stories in consultation with executive producers and senior editors. Work on tight deadlines, participates fully in coverage of major events, and in preparation and execution of daily programs.
Conducts subject research and develops television scripts based on the most effective method of presentation.Support digital team on cross-functional campaigns and content creation.
Produce and edit broadcast quality TV packages using Adobe Premiere Pro. Initiates and conducts original interviews with a variety of news sources and subjects, some of whom may be of a high level in their fields.
Hosts broadcast newscasts, prime-time programs, discussion shows, feature segments, and interactive social media programs as assigned. Prepares integrated, highly-focused, well-balanced segments or programs on issues of importance to an African audience.
Comfortable producing content for a variety of formats such as live and pre-recorded shows, specials on breaking news, and programs broadcast from a variety of locations.
1. Experience with partnering with internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders and faculty regarding multimedia projects and services.
2. Experience with designing, creating, manipulating and tailoring graphics, images, sound, animation, video and text to create integrated multimedia programs.
3. Experience with communicating and articulating multimedia products and options and adapt to alternative when appropriate.
4. Experience with time management and organizational skills.
