The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direction of an RN and reports to the Clinical Manager and is responsible for observing, recording and reporting concerns or changes in the patient's condition. Demonstrates active collaboration and communication with members of the care team, including but not limited to: the patient, patient's family/loved ones, pharmacy, lab, radiology, medical providers, RN's, respiratory therapists, clerks, and other departments within the medical facility.

Physical Requirements: This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. This position requires up to 8 hours of continued walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing. Incumbent is required to lift up to 45 pounds as transferring patients and objects may be required. The incumbent may be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials and may be required to don protective clothing in isolation situations or operative/invasive procedures. The incumbent may occasionally be exposed to patients who are combative secondary to delirium, dementia, or psychiatric disorders.
