The purpose is to plan, design, monitor and insure compliance for information assurance throughout the state. The incumbent plans, develops, and publishes state information assurance and accreditation procedures and guidelines affecting National Guard and tenant organizations throughout the state.
(1) Serves as the Assistant State Information Assurance Manager (IAM).
(2) Receives and reviews written guidance from a variety of Department of Defense (DoD), federal and state investigative and enforcement agencies and interprets for impact on the state.
(3) Develops and recommends policy on actions required to prevent and to correct information assurance deficiencies and violations.
(4) Develops and assures compliance with security policy for external connections to state systems and network and assures compliance within the SIPR and NIPR domains with the national and state policies.
(5) Has responsibility for the state infrastructure recovery operations to include conducting regular vulnerability assessments and coordinating the work to correct deficiencies.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
The Selected applicant must complete an "I-9, Employment Verification", "OF-306, Declaration of Federal Employment", and a "Declaration of Relatives in the Wyoming Military Department" prior to the appointment date.
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.
Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive
Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).
Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval.
PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives.
Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a
Technician.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This series covers two-grade interval administers that manage, supervise, lead, administer, develop, deliver, and support information technology (IT) systems and services. This series covers only those positions for which the paramount requirement is knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; e.g., data storage, software applications, networking.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion.
NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g. 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
