The OIG conducts audits, evaluations, investigations and special reviews of the personnel and programs of all DOJ components. The DOJ OIG offers a wide range of federal benefits and a flexible work schedule, depending on position requirements.
This excepted service position is being filled under the provisions of the Pathways Internship Program which is designed to provide students enrolled in educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with paid work opportunities. The program allows students to be exposed to the work of the Government through Federal internships while pursuing their degree. The internship also provides Federal managers a ready source of student employees and potential permanent employees upon completion of the program requirements.
This vacancy may be used to fill other similar and/or comparable positions throughout the agency within the stated duty station.
This is a temporary Pathways Internship Program appointment not-to-exceed one year from appointment but may be extended in 1-year increments based on program needs and if the student continues to meet program requirements. This position has conversion potential provided that all of the requirements for conversion have been met.
