Serve independently design, build, maintain, and utilize economic and financial models, and datasets necessary to understand the implications of personnel, and staffing policy changes. The incumbent will analyze key economic factors shaping the labor market for FAA skill sets, and estimate the potential for technology, demographic, geographic, and economic trends to re-shape the FAA labor force.
Incumbent will also conduct ad hoc analyses on matters related to FAA staffing or labor costs, including financial, and statistical analysis, forecasting, and “what-if” analyses. Responsible for conducting research/data collection, and the development of economic, financial analyses for issues that may not have been previously examined.
Incumbent will identify, resolve challenging problems or issues that often cross organizational boundaries that impact on the accomplishment of strategic objectives, also develop, recommend, and implement approaches to address current, and anticipated problems, and issues. Works both independently, closely with management to identify, and solve problems.
Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (FV-H or FG/GS-12) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as;
experience using data sets to develop reports and conduct financial or statistical analyses (e.g., using advanced functions in Excel, regression analysis, etc.), and
experience using programming languages to aid in complex analyses.
