SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
For the GS-13, a qualified candidate’s online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service in one or more of the following areas:
Experience providing evaluation for a significant segment of a specific research area in particle physics, or a closely related research area; experience reviewing budget requests for assigned program segment(s); experience preparing analytical documents, presentations, and/or research findings.
For the GS-14, a qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service in one or more of the following areas:
Experience providing input toward planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of research program and projects in the area of experimental particle physics research, or a closely related research area; experience providing recommendations in the development, coordination, and/or organization of funding allocations for assigned programs; experience participating in the evaluation of grantee research proposals and performance via merit review, site visits, and/or panel review.
For the GS-15, a qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service in one or more of the following areas:
Experience organizing independent peer reviews, recommending funding allocations, and monitoring scientific progress of experimental particle physics research programs, or closely related research areas; experience planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating research program and projects in the area of experimental particle research programs, or a closely related research area; experience representing an organization or scientific collaboration as part of an experimental particle physics research program or closely related research area.
