In this position you will serve as a computer scientist, responsible for applying broad knowledge of the principles and techniques of computer science for assignments concerning the design, development, optimization, cyber security readiness and integration of DMEAs Information Technology (IT) Enterprise. Individually, or as a member or leader of a team, serve as a Computer Scientist and technical advisor responsible for coordinating, reviewing, integrating and overseeing various cyber security and IT projects and programs. Provide system level and project support by applying broad knowledge of principles and techniques relative to computer science methodologies and IT capabilities throughout all life cycle phases. Evaluate proposed system changes (e.g. hardware, software, etc.) to ensure modifications do not adversely affect the security posture of the organization. Assess security requirements (e.g. DISA STIGs, DoD Policy, etc.) to determine impact to enterprise/system performance; and recommend way-forward to remediate/mitigate risk. Evaluate and perform information system hardening to insure compliance with security requirements. Liaison with representatives of the organization to identify and specify requirements, conduct business process reengineering, develop overall functional and technical requirements and specifications that complies with operational requirements. Ensure the integration of all project components, directs project deployment, and monitors subsequent customer support.
