The Director of the Office of Patent Quality Assurance (OPQA) provides strategic vision, guidance, and direction to ensure that OPQA provides the monitoring, assessment, and recommendations necessary to instill confidence in patent examination work products among internal and external stakeholders. The Director makes managerial and technical decisions required for successful program development, administration, and management. The Director of OPQA performs the following duties:

You must show successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biotechnology, computer science, or other physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering fields.
Probationary Period: You will be required to serve a one-year probationary period unless you previously completed the probationary period in the SES.
