The position is for a board eligible, board certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician who will be responsible for delivery of primary care to patients enrolled at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center.

The Battle Creek VAMC consists of 276 total operating beds, including 55 inpatient mental health beds, 11 inpatient medical beds, 109 Community Living Center beds, and 101 Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) beds. The Battle Creek VAMC is classified as a neuropsychiatric facility and is the hub of mental health care for VA Medical Centers in the lower peninsula of Michigan. Battle Creek VAMC provides state-of-the-art, evidence-based, recovery-oriented mental health care. The Medical Center also offers a wide variety of health care services, which includes both inpatient and outpatient care. We serve over 42,000 Veterans in 22 counties of the southwestern lower peninsula of Michigan. In addition to our main facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, we offer services at our four community based outpatient clinics located in Muskegon, Lansing, Wyoming and Benton Harbor.
