The Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington (Spokane VA) is seeking a full-time physician with Geriatrics experience to support our Veteran population. The preferred candidate will be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. The physician's principle responsibilities will involve joining a team of providers who manage the comprehensive, interdisciplinary clinical care delivered to veterans in the Spokane VA's Community Living Center (CLC). The CLC is a 38-bed unit which serves a diverse group of veterans with needs ranging from acute rehabilitation to skilled nursing to hospice services. The physician's additional duties will include but are not limited to 1) providing consultation services in Geriatrics, Palliative Care, and/or Hospice Medicine within the Spokane VA system, including the acute care hospital, urgent care center, and primary care services; 2) leading the delivery of VA's multidisciplinary Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) program services; 3) supporting the Graduate Medical Education mission of the Spokane VA; 4) assisting the Geriatric, Rehabilitation & Extended Care (GREC) Department in the development and delivery of high quality health care services.
Additionally, the physician will work closely with our team of dedicated health care professionals to assure compliance with rational, regional, and local VA performance standards, and may serve on local committees as deemed necessary in support of the facility mission.
Total salary will include Base Component and Market Pay. Final salary to be determined by local Physician Pay Panel. Physicians are eligible for annual Performance pay and incentive awards.

Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m - 4:30 p.m., M - F. At present, this position has no assigned call coverage, and has no requirement to work nights, weekends, or federal holidays.
