The OIG Pathways Internship Program is designed to attract students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions with paid opportunities to explore Federal careers while still in school. This Program exposes students to jobs in the Federal civil service by providing meaningful developmental work at the beginning of their careers, before their career paths are fully established. US Citizens currently enrolled in a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis.
Review and assess complaints and allegations received by the Investigations Division to determine investigative and/or prosecutive viability to ensure the effective use of agency resources. These allegations typically include criminal acts such as bribery, false statements, conspiracy, embezzlement and fraud.
Prepare reports of investigative interviews and activities. Document the Official Case Files (OCFs) and the Investigations Management Information System (IMIS) in accordance with policies set forth in the Special Agent Manual.
Ensure work products are in alignment with SBA OIG investigative priorities and in compliance with established 010 policies/procedures, CIGIE standards, Attorney General Guidelines, and Peer Review Guidelines, e.g., ROls, MOIs, MOAs, use of investigative techniques, case management guidelines, etc.
Participate in regular meetings with the SAC, ASAC's and agents to ensure full knowledge of investigative activities and related topics.
Provide quality administrative support to the SAC, ASAC's and SAs.
