As the Information Technology (IT) Auditor in the Office of Audits and Inspections, you will perform a variety of technical accounting assignments as well as perform systematic examinations and appraisals of financial-related records, reports, management controls, and policies and practices which reflect the financial condition of DOE organizations and activities, contractors, and grantees, including state and local governments, laboratories, universities, and private industrial and business operations.
You will be responsible for preparing audit working papers/reports in TeamMate to document the audit process including audit objectives and related conclusion, deficiencies, and recommendations for corrective action. You will also assist higher level auditors in determining areas of high risk to focus on during the audit, and other related assigned duties.

Appointment to this position may be subject to successful completion of a 1-year probationary period.

This position requires a security clearance and is subject to drug testing. The selectee must test negative prior to being appointed to this position and will be subject to random testing thereafter. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
