Experience working on fixed wing piston powered engines equipped with floats, skis, or wheels.
Conduct aircraft inspections per DHC-2 manual and Forest Service directives, including annual, 100 hour and 50 hour inspections.
Diagnose necessary repairs and comply with FAA AD’s and manufacturer Mandatory Service Bulletins. Adhere to USFS 5700 manual.
Perform maintenance and repair work on de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver fleet.
Initiates procurements for parts and supplies to maintain aircraft fleet and hangar/office facility.
Act as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) when necessary and maintains COR certification.
Assist with maintenance/repair projects at the hangar/office facility.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
DRUG TESTING: This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). Selectee must submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and random testing thereafter. Final appointment and continued employment is conditional on negative results for illegal drug use.
