The Claims Adjudication and Reimbursement (CAR) Department is responsible for eligibility, enrollment, medical claim and stipend benefit delivery. This position is responsible for supporting the Chief and Department Supervisors in all program management and day-to-day execution of operational activities. The incumbent will perform a variety of tracking, planning, evaluative, and advisory work associated with the Department and the overall operations to meet the mission of the programs served.

Major Duties include (but are not limited to): Assists Department supervisors and collaborates with the other Department Operations Officers in implementing actions designed to improve operations or resources; Designs the scope and approach of a project and/or study to include identifying resources needed to support the project and/or study; Resolves complex and sensitive issues by performing in depth analysis of the issues/problems and developing recommendations/procedures; Presents study findings and advises Chief and Supervisors on impacts of potential operational changes as well as provide recommendations based on a detailed course of action analysis; Develops program standards covering complex program functions or missions; Evaluates and recommends ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations; Develops new or modified work methods and management processes based on sound statistical data analysis procedures; and Develops and improves guidelines and procedures for quality program operations.
