This position is located on one of the following inpatient clinical research units in the Nursing Department (ND) at the NIH Clinical Center: behavioral health, medical-surgical, neurology, oncology, or pediatrics. The Nurse (Clinical Research) partners with multiple admitting institutes and provides services to a diverse and changing patient population. This is a new graduate position leading to the full performance level of GS-11. The new graduate will also attend the Clinical Research Nursing Residency Program in the first year of employment.
The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center leads the nation in implementing a specialty practice model for Clinical Research Nursing which defines the roles and contribution of nurses providing care to research participants.
