This position is located in the Investigations Division, Fraud Detection Office. The Division investigates allegations of bribery, fraud, abuse, and violation of civil rights and other laws, policies, and procedures that govern DOJ employees, contractors, and grantees. Working with prosecutors, the Division develops cases for criminal prosecution and for civil or administrative action. The important work of the Investigations Division results in arrests, criminal indictments, convictions or guilty pleas, and administrative actions against employees, contractors, grantees, and civilians.

If you are selected as an Investigative Specialist, your responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to:
GS-7: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, from an accredited college or university with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, class standing in the upper third of a graduating class or major subdivision, or membership in a national scholastic honor society; OR one full year of graduate level; OR education from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; OR a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and experience.
NOTE: One year of full time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester or 27 quarter hours should be considered as satisfying 1 year.
GS-9: A Master's degree or 2 years of progressively higher graduate level education or a LL.B or JD.
