This position is located in the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP); Office of Federal Agency Programs; Federal Permitting, Licensing, and Assistance Section. The position duty location is in Washington, DC.
ACHP encourages those candidates with experience in Federal, State, and local transportation projects that assess and manage effects to historic properties to apply.
This is a 12 month Term position. This position is in the excepted service and is not subject to competitive service procedures. Normal Merit Promotion procedures do not apply. Travel is expected to be no more than 1-5 days/month.
While not required for consideration, the ACHP would prefer candidates with at least 2 years of qualifying specialized experience.
First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level.
Telework:
ACHP has determined that the duties of this position are telework eligible, but newly hired employees must first complete a 6 month performance review before any telework request may be approved.

At the full performance level (GG-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

If selected for this position, you will be extended a tentative offer of employment pending a satisfactory background check. Current Federal employees or individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check; these will be handled on a case-by-case basis in coordination with the Bureau security office.
