This position reports to the Chief of the Public and Stakeholder Engagement Division, Office of Communications. The Public and Stakeholder Engagement Division is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating NASA activities as they relate to the general public.

This position serves as a Protocol Officer in the Public and Stakeholder Engagement Division in the Office of Communications. Primary responsibilities include supporting protocol requirements for the Office of the Administrator’s guests for agency launches at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) and Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB).
Manages and oversee transportation requirements, hotel accommodations, center tours and coordinates with the cabinet-level agencies including private sector organizations. Maintains updated information on guest lists, ensures invitations for events are properly prepared, delivered and confirm acceptances/declinations. Provide proper hospitality for meeting and greeting guests at events and ensures proper protocol and procedures are in place and enforced during activities.
Manages the logistical support for a wide variety of official agency events and activities at the White House, congressional occasions and flight Astronaut visits.
Reviews agency policies and procedures for special events, and VIP visitors and integrates protocol arrangements for out of the ordinary activities involving the Office of the Administrator. Assists in the planning, organizing and arranging receptions, retirement ceremonies and special events.
