This position is part of the INFORMATION SECURITY OVERSIGHT OFFICE, National Archives and Records Administration. As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST, you will be working within the National Archives and Records Administration's (NARA), Information Security Oversight Office receiving policy guidance for the President's security classification program established under Executive Order 13526 from the National Security Council. This position will advise policymakers at the highest levels of the executive branch of the status and effectiveness of security policies.

As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-15, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:

Time-In-Grade: Applicants in the Competitive Service who have held a permanent GS position within the past 52 weeks must meet Time-In-Grade (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). For example, one year at the GS-14 for the GS-15.
Conditions of Employment:
You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to perform activities such as proposing, drafting and coordinating modifications or amendments to executive orders; analyzing and evaluating policies and procedures for classified national security information, reviewing and evaluating agency implementation of national security classification and declassification policies and procedures; planning further policy or regulatory goals and objectives, or developing program performance targets for an agency or large and complex organization; leading teams from within and working with a variety of people throughout an organization to effectively address issues, risks and opportunities; working with leaders to identify and develop strategic initiatives that enhance program performance; recommending solutions to sensitive, controversial, and critical issues affecting agency programs; staff planning and resources allocations to accomplish program operations; planning; designing and supervising production of security classification topics including videos and other web based products related to security education and training; conducting briefings, training seminars and workshops on government security classification and declassification programs.
