The Office of Inspector General is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to serve as an Lead Auditor (Information Technology) in the Office of Audits and Inspections who is fully knowledgeable of contemporary information technology systems and auditing techniques. As an Lead Auditor (Information Technology), you will perform complex audits, reviews and evaluations of the information technology management activities; participate in policy determinations concerning substantially all the activities of an organization with nationwide programs, financial expenditures and impact, and significant influence on a substantial segment of the national economy; and provide expert technical advice, guidance to management, and other auditors on critical issues involving performance and financial audits of information technology programs, program compliance, and personnel management.
You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Time-in-grade restrictions must also be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of service equivalent to the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the position.
Appointment to this position may be subject to successful completion of a 1-year probationary period.
