This position is part of the Defense Imagery Management Operations Center (DIMOC),Defense Media Activity (DMA). The incumbent will be responsible for providing customer support and assistance for DIMOC products with emphasis upon Combatant Command operations and exercises and significant "breaking news" within a particular combatant command Area of Responsibility (AOR), as assigned and soliciting customer feedback and recommendations on DIMOC products and conveys requirements to appropriate DIMOC/DMA personnel for action.

As a VI COMCAM Plans Specialist at the GS-0301-11 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Represents DoD media resources and directed imagery capabilities daily to Combatant Commands (CCMDs), military and other government agencies' imagery management and operations personnel to include any deployed operational elements, and service department visual information (VI) personnel in public affairs (PA), combat camera (COMCAM) and information operations (IO).
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with VI professionals, both military and civilian within respective CCMD staffs and military operating units. Compiles and maintains a current contact list of CCMD VI/IO/PA personnel required to perform the JCCC mission.
- Monitors breaking news developments; ascertains the impact on military operations within specific CCMD.
- Provides on-site assistance to public affairs and information operations staff in tasking, collection, processing, and use of visual information in support of CCMD missions.
