Established by Congress in 1974, the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is the country's single largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income Americans. LSC currently funds 133 independent, nonprofit legal aid organizations with nearly 800 offices throughout the nation. LSC's mission is to promote equal access to justice and provide grants for high-quality civil legal assistance.
Basic Function: Under the general direction of the Director of the Office of Program Performance (OPP), and/or his or her designee, the Grants Program Analyst supports Legal Services Corporation's (LSC) basic field grants process.
The responsibilities of the Grants Program Analyst encompass analytical, research, and support functions, including, but not limited to: analyzing grant data; monitoring and facilitating the grants process; providing technical assistance to grant applicants and LSC staff; helping to develop enhancements to existing grants processes to promote efficiency; and drafting and editing reports, instructions, and guidelines. This position is included in a collective bargaining unit represented by the International Federation of Professional & Technical Engineers, Local 135.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling a minimum of six years of related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Power Point, SQL, and Smartsheet. Solid analytical and research skills, including computer-based/on-line research resources.
